Nine Arches Bridge Demodara and Little Adam’s Peak

Among the numerous different enjoyable treks with breathtaking scenery in Ella are the Ella Gap, Ravana Ella Falls, Little Adam’s Peak, and Bambaragala Peak.Train travel is a popular way for visitors to reach Ella. It can be a very leisurely trip for a true vacation.

DEMODARA BRIDGE, NINE ARCHES

It is Constructed entirely of solid rocks, bricks, and cement without the use of any steel, this enormous bridge spans the distance between Ella and Demodara railway station, just a short distance from the 40th tunnel on the Colombo – Badulla line. The Bandarawela – Halielle (Badulla) A 16 road must be turned off, and you must travel 4 km on a tiny road. You can park your car in the final location, but you’ll still need to walk 200 meters to get to the railway. Because there are several steep inclines and turns, it is best to go in a 4WD vehicle or a jeep. The British constructed this bridge in 1920.

LITTLE ADAM’S PEAK

A well-liked, short trek leads to the summit of Little Adam’s Peak, a pyramid-shaped rock situated across from the much bigger Ella Rock. It provides an amazing perspective of the hills surrounding Ella, including Ella Rock, Ella Gap, and the highest point of Rawana Ella Falls. This is a two-hour journey that is perfect for a morning.
